Meet Our Worship Coordinator

Jodi Lewis

We are delighted to welcome Jodi Lewis as our new Worship Coordinator & Team Leader!

Family & Background

Jodi met her husband, Lynn, when they were 7 & 8 years old. (He was the cute kid in her Sunday school class)! They were best friends as teenagers & both of their families were active in the church. Jodi & Lynn are long time Chardon Township residents, having moved to the area almost 35 years ago. They have 2 sons, Michael & Stephen, & enjoy spending time with 5 grandchildren who live in Munson Township.

Professional Experience

Jodi is a Registered Nurse, having worked in long term care & hospital settings for many years. She enjoyed working as an Operating Room nurse & Clinical Instructor the most. She has taught CPR classes through the American Heart Association for more than 25 years & is also a small business owner.

Musical Journey

While she does not have a formal music degree, Jodi studied privately for 10 years with a Master's prepared piano/organ teacher who was well known in the North Pittsburgh, PA area.

Music has always been an important part of Jodi's life. She sang in the children's choir in grade school & played flute & piccolo through high school. Jodi held her first church Organist position at the age of 15. She has more than 30 years of experience as a church musician, having served as Organist/Choir Director or Organist/Pianist in the local area since 1998.

She loves finding arrangements of old hymns that breathes new life into them, especially with different harmonies. Her prayer is that others are lifted up through the music each week—whether it's the "message in the music" being sung or the instrumental music being played.

Jodi feels very blessed to be leading the Worship Team here at First UMC of Middlefield!
